More than 7,000 Jeep Cherokee vehicles have been recalled in Canada.
The recall impacts 2024 Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L and Wagoneer models.
A total of 7,025 vehicles are involved in the recall.
On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display, the recall notice states.
Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear.
The software issue could reduce a driver’s ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. It could increase the risk of a crash, the notice states.
Fiat Chrysler Canada will notify owners in writing and advise them to take the vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera module software.
