What started as an investigation into one stolen SUV has led police to more than $100,000 in vehicles and lay charges against two people from Brampton and Caledon.
On Nov. 3, the OPP says officers from the Caledon detachment received a report about a stolen 2023 Toyota 4Runner.
Police say the investigation led members of the Caledon Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) to a rural property where the stolen Toyota was located.
Two people were arrested and police say a search of the property turned up a 2022 Toyota Highlander and a trailer loaded with two 2023 Sea-Doos.
The Caledon OPP says Dilbag Deol, 49, of Caledon and Navtej Deol, 43, of Brampton have both been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The accused are both scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Nov. 30 to answer the charges.
