One person dies in an industrial accident in Mississauga

One person died late Thursday afternoon in what Peel Regional Police say was an industrial accident in Mississauga’s east end.

Police were called to the scene near Dundas Street East and Wharton Way at 3:53 pm. One person was pronounced dead shortly after.

“One individual (was) transported to a local trauma centre and was pronounced deceased,” police said.

The Ministry of Labour will be attending the scene.

Police didn’t say if it was a man or woman who was killed, nor did they provide any other details about the incident.
