One of the few BBQ restaurants in Mississauga has officially closed.
Blackjack BBQ, which was located in Square One inside The Food District, has shuttered for good.
For many BBQ lovers, this was one of the few spots in the heart of Mississauga where they could get their fix.
The restaurant, which celebrated barbecue season all year long, was known for its sweet whiskey pork ribs and dinosaur beef ribs.
And, although the restaurant specialized in grilled meat, it even offered vegan “ribs” for non-meat eaters that were made from grilled tempeh.
Some of their popular menu items included the buttermilk fried chicken, backyard brisket burger, pulled short rib sandwich and sides such as the cheddar and broccoli slaw, smashed potatoes and pork and beans.
Blackjack BBQ had another location in Toronto, which has also closed its doors.
