One of biggest Nike stores in Canada set to open at Square One in Mississauga

Just open it already.

That slight variation of the iconic tagline is the likely sentiment of many Nike lovers in Mississauga who are eagerly anticipating the opening of a huge new Nike store at Square One Shopping Centre.

Taking up nearly an entire corner section on the upper level of the popular shopping centre, the soon-to-open store may be one of the largest Nike stores in all of Canada when it opens this coming summer.

While customers wait patiently, the company invites them to visit Nike’s temporary location in another part of Square One.

The popular American athletic footwear and apparel corporation became a household name around the globe decades ago and today has 42 stores in Canada, 25 of them in Ontario, according to online data company ScrapeHero.

Toronto has five Nike stores while Mississauga and Ottawa are home to three stores.

The company’s instantly recognizable “Just Do It” tagline was created in 1988.
