One man in critical condition following a residential fire in Brampton

A fire broke out at a home in Brampton this afternoon.
On Sunday (July 2) shortly before 3 p.m., Peel Regional Police and local fire crew were dispatched to a home near Bovaird Drive East and Sunnyvale Gate, south of Torbram Road.
Police say there is a large presence of emergency crew in the area, as they battle to bring the blaze to a controlled state.
Investigators report that as a result of the fire, a man was rushed to a hospital where he is in serious condition.
It is unknown if there were other occupants who were injured in the fire.
As this is an ongoing investigation, the cause of fire has yet to be determined.
Police are asking residents and motorists to avoid the area until further notice.
