One driver is dead, and a passenger is in serious condition following a two vehicle crash in the Town of Lincoln last night.

Niagara Regional Police, paramedics and Lincoln Fire Services responded to a collision near Mountain Road and Spring Creek Road shortly before 8:33 p.m.

Investigators say a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck collided with a 1974 MG, a classic two-door British sports car. Both vehicles had significant front-end damage.

The driver of the MG, a 33-year-old man from West Lincoln, was taken to an out-of-region hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries. A 38-year-old passenger from Grimsby, who was also in the MG, was transported to an out-of-region hospital and remains in critical condition.

Officials have not released further information about the victims.

The driver of the GMC, a 21-year-old man from Dunnville, was assessed at the scene by paramedics and was found to have no physical injuries, police say.
