One dead, two others injured in rollover crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga

A woman has died, and a man is in critical condition after both were ejected from a vehicle during a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga.
On Friday (Sept. 6), the OPP, along with Peel Region Paramedic Services and Mississauga Fire Services, responded to a single-vehicle rollover at 9 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 —west of Winston Churchill Boulevard.
Police say they found two occupants outside the vehicle, which included a 23-year-old Toronto woman who was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The other, a 21-year-old man from Milton, was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. His current condition has not been updated.
In addition, the driver, an 18-year-old man from Milton was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic was diverted to Highway 407 for several hours as first responders worked at the scene.
Police say the roadways were reopened at 2:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation,and officials are asking for witnesses who may have dashcam footage to call the OPP Mississauga Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
