Woman found dead in Mississauga.

Police are investigating after an “older woman” was found dead in Mississauga’s east end on Tuesday morning.

Peel Regional Police told INsauga.com they received a call just after 7:15 a.m. reporting that an older woman was found unconscious and not breathing in the area of Cawthra Road and Bloor Street.

Police didn’t say where, specifically, the woman was found, but reports indicate she was found dead near Mississauga City Baptist Church, on Cawthra Road just north of Bloor Street.

Responding officers in addition to Mississauga firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene and “attempted life-saving measures,” police said.

However, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police didn’t provide any further details.
