Officer bitten during arrest and exposed to dangerous narcotics in Ontario

An officer was allegedly attacked, bitten and exposed to dangerous narcotics in Ontario.

According to a report by Brantford Police Service, on Dec. 3, a police officer responded to a call concerning a 39-year-old woman.

When engaging the woman, the arresting officer noticed that she had rapidly consumed a foreign substance.

Brantford Police have relayed that the substance was believed to be fentanyl.

Upon trying to remove the substance from the suspect’s mouth, the officer was bitten, which police allege directly exposed him to the effects of fentanyl.
