Oct. 23 Weather: Chance of showers during day and evening in southern Ontario

Wednesday (Oct. 23) could be a wet one in Mississauga and across southern Ontario.

There will be a chance of showers in the afternoon and then again early in the evening, according to the latest weather forecast by Environment Canada.

Clouds will move in during the morning hours, with a 40 percent chance of rain expected in the afternoon. Wind will be southwest at 20 km/h early on and then gusting to 50 km/h later in the morning.

The afternoon should see more of the same, with the wind being northwest at 30 km/h before gusting to 50 km/h. There will be a high of 21 C for the day.

The UV index will be 2 or lower.

The evening will be mainly cloudy with 40 percent of showers early on. Wind will be northwest at 30km/h and then gusting to 50 km/h before becoming lighter near midnight.

After midnight, the wind will become north at 20 km/h. Temperatures will dip to a chilly low of 5 C during the overnight hours.

There will be 10 hours and 41 minutes of daylight time on Wednesday. The sun will rise at 7:42 a.m. and then set at 6:23 p.m.
