It may start foggy with brisk winds in the morning, but don’t be fooled. A burst of warmth, more fitting for summer, is set to roll in later, bringing plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures that could make you forget it’s actually fall.

For those hoping to catch a stunning morning sky, Sunday’s sunrise is at 7:37 a.m., though it might be obscured by fog.

Residents in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham Region will wake up to sunshine, though fog patches may linger before gradually dissipating throughout the morning.

Wind speeds could reach up to 40 km/h easing up by late afternoon.

Daytime temperatures will vary across cities with Mississauga, and Brampton warming up to 22 C. Halton will reach 21 C while it will be a degree cooler in Hamilton and Durham at 20 C.

UV index will climb to a moderate level 4. Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Sunset begins at 6:23 p.m.—13 minutes earlier than last week.

By evening, skies will remain clear in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, though clouds are expected to move in near midnight. Hamilton will see increasing cloudiness by late evening and Durham will remain partly cloudy overnight.

Windy conditions may return across all cities with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h.

Temperatures will fall to 13 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton while Hamilton will slip to 11 C and Durham is anticipated to be the coolest, dipping to 8 C .

Your fall gear might have come out of the closet last week because of the freezing temperatures, but it looks like it can stay tucked away for the next few days. With warm daytime weather returning to Ontario, those cozy layers won’t be needed just yet.

Sunshine and clear skies will persist from Monday through Tuesday, but by Wednesday, predominantly cloudy skies will return and linger through Friday, bringing rain with it occasional sunny breaks.

Daytime temperatures will range from 11 C to 24 C while evening lows will hover between 2 C and 12 C.
