Occupant rescued from 6th-floor apartment building fire in Brampton

Firefighters have knocked down a blaze at an apartment building that saw one person require medical treatment in Brampton.
The fire broke out on Thursday morning on the sixth floor of an apartment building at 68 Bramalea Rd., Brampton Fire & Emergency Services says.
Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control but say one occupant inside a unit was “being tended to for medical purposes.”
BFES has not said what is believed to have started the fire.
Crews were working on ventilating the unit and asked residents and drivers to avoid the area while firefighters are on the scene.
