Oakville teacher charged with sexual assault of three students in Brampton

An Oakville man and Brampton middle school teacher is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting three female students, and police say there may be more victims.

Peel Regional Police say investigators received information that a teacher at a middle school in the Region of Peel allegedly sexually assaulted three female victims between October and November 2022.

John Weaver, a 59-year-old man from Oakville, was arrested on Monday (Dec. 5) and has been charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.

The accused attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing. None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
