Nov. 9 weather: Sunny skies to start the weekend with rain on the way in southern Ontario

Temperatures will take a slight drop as we head into the weekend but you should still expect sunny skies before the wet weather returns to Mississauga, Brampton and much of southern Ontario on Sunday.

Environment Canada is calling for mostly clear skies across the GTA with a daytime high of between 7 C in Toronto and 9 C in Mississauga, and a low of around 2 C.

Some parts of southwestern Ontario will feel a bit colder, like London and Woodstock where a morning wind chill will have it feeling more like -6 C in the morning hours.

While Environment Canada says Saturday should remain clear for most of the day, clouds will start rolling in later in the evening before showers set in on Sunday.

The forecast calls for cloudy skies and a 60 percent chance of showers on Sunday in Mississauga and Brampton, but temperatures are expected to hit double digits with a high of 10 C.

That rain should stick around for the start of the work week, dropping to a 40 per cent chance of showers on Monday.
