It’s shaping up to be a bright and sunny day with clear skies in southern Ontario, although temperatures will stay on the cooler side.


With the time change this weekend, you might be tempted to sleep in, but if you’re an early riser, Sunday’s sunrise at 6:55 a.m. promises to be a stunning sight as after weeks of cloudy skies and fog, clear conditions are expected, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the morning.

Residents in Mississauga, Brampton, and Halton will wake up to a mix of sun and clouds, while Hamilton and Durham can expect mainly sunny conditions.

It will be slightly windy in Durham at 15 km/h, while brisk winds of 20 km/h will sweep through Hamilton.

Daytime temperatures will vary across cities. Mississauga, Brampton, Durham and Halton will reach 10 C, while Hamilton will be a degree warmer at 11 C.

By evening, skies will remain clear before turning cloudy across southern Ontario close to midnight.

Temperatures are anticipated to drop to 8 C in Durham, while in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton, it will feel like 6 C. Halton will be the chilliest at 5 C.

Sunshine will disappear for the rest of the week, as predominantly cloudy skies and rain are forecasted for the days ahead. Daytime highs will range between 9 C and 21 C, while evening lows will hover between 5 C and 16 C.
