You might want to bundle up as the forecast is looking to deliver cold temperatures and blustery conditions to Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and much of southern Ontario on Friday.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting a high of 2 C during the day to end the work week across much of the GTA and southern parts of the province, with many areas expected to see cloudy skies.
Those clouds are likely to bring snow with between a 40 to 70 per cent chance of flurries in the morning and afternoon, depending on where you are in the province.
Commuters may find roads a bit slick in the morning and evening hours, and pedestrians will want to layer up to brace against the wind chill which will make it feel more like -8 C in the evening.
The Hamilton and Niagara regions could experience colder temperatures in the morning with a wind child making it feel like -7 C, with wind speeds around 30 km/h gusting up to 50 km/h.
And there’s more snow in the forecast for every day this week in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton.
A snow squall event expected to start Thursday night in areas just north of the GTA could bring up to 50 centimetres of snow in some parts of southern Ontario this week.
Snow squall warnings and watches are in effect in the areas around Sault Ste. Marie, Manitowaning, Huntsville and elsewhere in the province.
Watches are issued when there is the potential for severe weather. Warnings are issued when that severe weather is actually occurring or is imminent.
