It’s going to be a mainly cloudy day with some sunny breaks. Cool temperatures will set in, possibly bringing a bit of rain to southern Ontario.

If you’re an early riser hoping to catch a stunning morning sky, you might be disappointed as Sunday’s  sunrise happening at 7:14 a.m., is likely to be obstructed by fog and cloudy skies.

Residents in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Hamilton will wake up to fog, which is expected to dissipate by late morning. In Durham, the day will begin cloudy.

Daytime temperatures will reach 11 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton, while Durham and Halton will be a degree cooler at 10 C.  Hamilton could also be getting light winds of 20 km/h close to the afternoon.

Sunset begins at 4:47 p.m.

By evening, the skies will remain cloudy across the region bringing with it a 40 per cent chance of overnight rain. Brisk winds could also pick up in Halton at 20 km/h speeds before clearing up by midnight.

Temperatures will fall to 7 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and Durham, while Halton will dip to a chilly 6 C.

Sunshine will kick start the week with daytime temperatures climbing to 12 C —the warmest day compared to the whole week. Clouds take over Tuesday with rain making a late-day cameo, bringing on a wet streak from Wednesday to Friday with showers greeting both mornings and evenings.

Nighttime lows will linger between 2 C and 6 C—perfect weather to bundle up and keep that umbrella handy for surprise showers.
