Maintenance work on runways at Pearson Airport in Mississauga could lead to more use of other runways and increases in noise over the city.
Pearson just posted the noise advisory today (Dec. 14) and noted it is in effect until Dec. 21.
The work on three runways could lead to an increased usage of other runways.
Overnight work starts on runway 05/23 on Thursday (Dec. 15) and includes electrical preventative maintenance on mandatory hold signs, inset and elevated lighting components.
The same work will be done on runway 06R/24L the following day, Dec. 16. And on Dec. 21, runway 15L/33R maintenance work will include electrical preventative maintenance on centreline, edge, threshold, stop bars, and touchdown zone lights.
