Seven stolen cars were discovered at a rural property in Uxbridge leading to charges for two men.

Durham Police launched the case back on March 4 when a witness called to report a stolen car near Brewster Road and Concession Road 5. Officers found two stolen SUVs which they seized. Neither was occupied.

The owner allowed officers to search their property where they discovered another four stolen cars. The officers got a search warrant to investigate neighbouring fields where they found three more stolen cars. Two of these had new vehicle identification numbers.

Under Project ATTIRE, an ongoing effort targeting vehicle theft across Durham Region, investigators arrested a man and a woman who rented a home on the property.
