It was so cloudy and foggy that Niagara Falls disappeared this morning.

Environment Canada issued several advisories due to fog as it rolled in across southern Ontario starting on Dec. 24 and into this morning (Dec. 27). Near zero visibility due to the fog was expected this morning in Mississauga, Hamilton and Niagara Falls.

And Niagara Falls was barely visible this morning, according to a post from Environment Canada.

“Niagara Falls has been shrouded in low cloud this morning!” Environment Canada said in a post. “These clouds are finally starting to lift, although fog patches/low cloud are once again expected tonight.”

The weather forecaster posted views from the Sheraton Hotel Fallsview where on a good day people can see the falls.

Fog patches are expected tonight and Thursday across southern Ontario, according to Environment Canada.

Rain is also continuing Thursday with a chance of flurries Friday. Colder temperatures are expected on the weekend along with flurries.
