A better Bramalea GO Station is coming to Brampton in 2022.

According to Metrolinx, Bramalea GO Station is undergoing construction, and major improvements are expected to be complete by next year.

These changes will allow the station to serve more passengers on a daily basis, as well as facilitate the introduction of all-day, two-way GO train service in the coming years.

Some of these improvements include: a new station building, a new parking garage with 2059 space, a new passenger pick-up and drop-off area, covered bicycle parking, a new retail space, and enhanced safety features including new emergency call systems and upgraded lighting.

There will also be upgraded access to the station from Bramalea Road, as well as improved bus platforms for GO Transit and Brampton Transit, with a dedicated Züm bus loop.

The Station will also be getting an upgrade when it comes to accessibility—the elevators will be upgraded to platform level, and there will also be a new accessible station building, as well as pedestrian tunnels connecting to the train platforms.
