A new condo in Mississauga just got a bit taller.
Condominiums at Square One District, a new condo under construction near Square One Shopping Centre, released 45 stories for sale in 2020.
Three additional stories are being added to the tower located at 395 Square One Dr. bringing the building to 48 storeys, said Genny Liu-Thomas, director of sales for Daniels Realty Corporation.
The construction is nearly complete and occupancy will start in the summer of 2025. The Daniels Corporation project is in partnership with Oxford Properties.
The project is part of what is known as Square One District, the transformation of 130-acres around the Square One Shopping Centre into an 18 million square foot master planned mixed-use neighbourhood. The vision is a community including over 18,000 urban residences located near the Hurontario LRT and Bus Rapid Transit along with retail, dining, recreation, parks and green spaces and an employment hub.
It is a multi-phase and multi-decade redevelopment with Square One Shopping Centre as the anchor.
Condominiums at Square One District is part of the first phase, which also includes 36-storey and 37-storey buildings in the same area.
The condo units nearly sold out soon after being released in September 2020, Liu-Thomas told INsauga.com.
“Because the initial release was so successful, we always envisioned adding three more floors to this building, and we feel that, since we’re about a year away from completion, that this would be the right time to bring these three floors that have never been released to market,” Liu-Thomas said.
The three floors will be 44, 45 and 46, called Stak36, which will offer views of Mississauga, Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline depending on where the unit is in the building.
“The views are really nice from up there,” said Liu-Thomas.
The floors have a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites.
One bedrooms start in the low $600,000s, and are from 520 to 560 square feet. The one-bedroom plus dens units start in the high $600,000s with a size range of 600 to 609 square feet.
The two-bedroom suites are in the low $700,000s and go from 639 to 872 square feet. The two-bedroom plus den start in the low $800,000s and they are 872 square feet.
The units include custom cabinetry in the kitchen, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and there is a contemporary feel throughout the building, said Liu-Thomas.
The whole building is 48 stories with 574 suites.
Condominiums at Square One District amenities include a fitness zone, half-court basketball, a climbing wall, a kid’s zone, outdoor fitness and play areas, gardening studios and plots, prep-kitchen access and more.
The Daniels Corporation is celebrating our 40th anniversary this year and has built nearly 40,000 homes across the Greater Toronto Area with a focus on master-planned developments, said Liu-Thomas.
Oxford Properties is a leading global real estate investor, developer and property manager. They have real estate assets across four continent including Fairmont Hotels across Canada, and the Hudson Yards in Manhattan, New York City.
