Jeff Barbosa —General Manager at Erin Mills Town Centre, believes the mall has done a great job in recent years of growing with the demographic in the area mentioning that they were pretty much wrapped up with all major interior developments.

Barbosa added that there were conversations happening on possibly incorporating some exterior amenities to the land.

The Centre was originally built in 1989 with about 850,000 square feet. It extends over two levels today and currently sits on 84 acres of land.

Francesca Bourré, the Marketing Director at Erin Mills Town Centre told Retail Insider that they had exciting prospects planned but she couldn’t further discuss what they were—hinting that it’s in a “pretty good spot for leasing.”

Having a vacancy of only 10 per cent, [sic] is a great story considering what other businesses have gone through,” Bourré said.

Of the vacancies, there is about 40,000 square feet under negotiation.

“What we’re actively pursuing is undertaking that true evolution of the retail offering here so that we can satisfy our customers’ changing needs,” Mc Gowen told Retail Insider.

The development will not be limited to food and beverage, but it is aimed to welcome a number of unique, entrepreneurial and diverse retailers that are speaking to the needs of the customers’.
