A new restaurant offers weekend breakfast buffets and savoury dinners in Mississauga.

Mevlana Turkish Cuisine just celebrated its grand opening at 900 Rathburn Rd. W.

Chef Ibrahim, who previously worked for the popular Agha Turkish Restaurant & Café, opened the new spot this summer.

“You have known me before at another restaurant and now I have opened my own restaurant, Mevlana,” Ibrahim says in a post on Instagram.

Dishes include Turkish favourites such as kebabs, pide and doner.

“We’re excited to share the delicious flavours of Turkey with you,” the restaurant says on the website. “Our menu is packed with fresh, tasty dishes like juicy kebabs, flavourful mezes, and sweet baklava. Each bite is made with care and love.”

Ibrahim also specializes in a fiery dish called pot kebab. Served in a clay pot, the outside of the dish is heated with fire.

The restaurant also has a weekend open buffet breakfast with Menemen (Turkish eggs and tomatoes) and many other dishes.
