A new pop-up market, featuring artisans, food and performers is coming to Mississauga.

The first-ever Cooksville Pop-Up Market & Gathering will be at 67 Hillcrest Avenue on Saturday, July 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to organizers.

The inaugural event promises a day of family-friendly fun featuring food, games, affordable vendors and service providers.

There will be more than 30 local vendors, performers, service providers and community partners participating in the event. Attendees can expect fresh and cooked food, handmade goods, clothing and more.

The event will be in the parking lot just west of Shawarma Way restaurant.

The idea for the event came out of engagement with the Cooksville community, which asked for more places to gather, access to affordable products and services and opportunities to support local businesses.

Community organizations Heart ComonosCooksville Community Hub and TAS, alongside non-profit 8 80 Cities are hosting the market.
