New vegetarian Indian thali restaurant opening soon in Mississauga

Mississauga is getting a new spot for vegetarian Indian buffet.

Maharaja Bhog, an Indian thali restaurant is opening its first location in Canada at 6020 Hurontario St., Mississauga on the north west corner plaza.

Thali is a platter that is made up of several different dishes and this place will offer an unlimited sit-down buffet with table service and a new menu daily, according to the website.

“The ‘thali’ experience includes a beverage, appetizers, entrees and desserts which come together to create a wholesome, nutritious and organic meal,” the website notes.

They create “home-style food combining Rajasthani and Gujarati style,” the website adds.

Plates include vegetable curries, dal, rotis, breads, chutneys and more.

The Maharaja Bhog Group started in India in 2012. They have locations in Mumbai, Pune, and two locations outside of India in Houston, Texas and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Currently, there is no opening date listed.
