If you want to enjoy a little staycation in the city, you can check out a brand new hotel that’s the first of its kind in Ontario.
The Hyatt Place Toronto/Mississauga Centre hotel recently opened just outside the Square One area in Mississauga. Hyatt says the 123-room hotel is the brand’s first hotel in Ontario.
“We are excited to introduce Ontario’s first Hyatt Place hotel to the Mississauga area,” said Celso Thompson, General Manager, in a statement.
“With our smartly designed social spaces, including adaptable, state-of-the-art meetings and events spaces, and guestrooms with separate work and sleep areas, guests can easily multitask and accomplish what they need to do while on the road.”
The hotel, which is close to Square One, restaurants and two major highways, offers over 100 guestrooms with separate sleeping spaces. The rooms also feature sectional sleeper sofas, and the hotel offers complimentary breakfast.
Hyatt says the hotel also boasts The Market, which serves pre-packaged meals. Guests can also check out The Bar, which features speciality beverages made with Starbucks espresso roast and a variety of premium beers, wines and cocktails. Hyatt also says that guests can use free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and in the guestrooms.
Guests can also use shared computers with highspeed internet access in the lobby.
The hotel also boasts up to 12,458 square feet of meeting/function space that can accommodate up to 500 guests.
As far as other perks go, the hotel also offers a 24/7 fitness centre, a heated indoor salt-water pool, guest laundry, dry cleaning and two electric vehicle charging stations.
The hotel is pet-friendly and can accommodate both cats and dogs.
“The opening of Hyatt Place Toronto/Mississauga Centre is an important step in expanding Hyatt’s brand presence throughout Canada,” said Rodahl Leong-Lyons, Hyatt’s regional vice president of operations and sales for Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels in Canada, in a statement.
“The Hyatt Place brand is on a terrific trajectory – its growth illustrates the success of the select service model as this brand continues to create value for our guests and owners.”
