New fine for parking on your lawn in Halton Hills

No more parking on your lawn in Halton Hills or residents will face a fine.
Local council recently approved a $100 fine for parking in an unauthorized area following a decision to restrict parking on residential landscaping.
The new bylaw recommended in a report from from the manager of Enforcement Services said the new bylaw aims to address the influx of vehicles parking on the landscaped area (front and side yard) of a residential property.
Previously enforced through the Town’s zoning bylaw, parking in these areas was will now be addressed through the Administrative Monetary Penalty System for minor parking bylaw infractions.
