Air Transat has announced that it will be launching a new direct flight route from Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga to an “underserved” European city.

The airline said that beginning in June, it will operate an exclusive non-stop route from Toronto to Berlin.

The route will operate from June 19 to Oct. 24, 2025, with two flights weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

“This new route aligns with our revenue diversification strategy by targeting an important yet underserved market,” said Sebastian Ponce, chief revenue officer at Transat.

Air Transat now has 36 non-stop routes between Canada and Europe or North Africa.

Berlin is the third-largest underserved market from Pearson to Europe, said Toronto Pearson interim chief commercial officer and executive director of customer experience Kurush Minocher.
