A new Chinese-style restaurant specializing in Cantonese, Szechaun and Hakka cuisine is now open in Halton Hills.
Located at 109 Main St. S. in Georgetown, Huangs Fine Eatery has taken over the space formerly inhabited by Yong’s Canadian and Chinese Food Restaurant.
The restaurant is being run by Michelle and Wei Sheng Huang, who are looking to bring a taste of the native dishes to local residents.
There are plenty of traditional favourites on the menu, with a wide variety of chow mein, sweet and sour, rice, beef, pork and noodle dishes.
The Hakka dishes on the menu will bring the heat, with many of the offerings having a picture of a chili pepper beside them, warning of their potency.
From Szechuan beef to General Tao chicken to Manchurian shrimp chow mein, many meals pack quite the punch.
Offering dine-in, takeout and delivery options, there are also lunch specials, combo plates and family dinner specials.
The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, 2 to 9:30 p.m. They’re closed Tuesdays.
