Music teacher charged with sexual assault involving a minor in Brampton

A music teacher in Brampton has been charged after a teen student came forward with an allegation of sexual assault.
The 16-year-old student was in the midst of a music lesson when she was allegedly sexually assaulted. The victim was not physically hurt.
Police did not specify when or where this assault took place. Investigators continue to look into this case and believe there may be other victims.
On July 6 Peel Region Police arrested Rajinder Raj, 71 from Brampton on charges of sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
Raj will appear in a Brampton courtroom “at a later date” per PRP. The charges have not been proven in court.
