A Mississauga man has been charged with murder in the death of a 54-year-old woman found earlier this week by police inside a home near Pearson Airport in the city’s east end.

Peel Regional Police said in a news release this afternoon (Aug. 4) that Argentina Fuentes, 54, of Mississauga, was in “medical distress” when officers responding to a medical assist call arrived at a home at Victory Cres. and Purnell Crt. just after 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning (July 31).

Once inside the Derry and Airport Rds. area home, police quickly located the woman.

She was rushed to hospital, where life-saving measures were unsuccessful and she succumbed to her injuries, investigators said.

That same day, police arrested a man in connection with the slaying.

Nicholas Turcios, 27, of Mississauga, is charged with second-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with undertaking.
