Multiple people injured after stolen BMW collides with TTC bus in Toronto

Multiple people were injured, two critically, in a crash involving a stolen BMW and TTC bus in Toronto early Monday morning.
Emergency crews rushed to Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue in North York at 1:53 a.m. for the crash, Toronto Police said in a post on X.
A BMW and TTC bus collided and one person was ejected from bus, police said.
Emergency crews extracted the occupants of the BMW and two people were sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said six people other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly before the crash, two vehicles, a white BMW and a black SUV, were travelling at a high rate of speed westbound on Wilson Avenue, Toronto Police Duty Inspector Brian Maslowski told news outlets.
At the intersection of Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue, the black SUV drove through but the BMW collided with the driver’s side of a TTC bus that was travelling southbound, Maslowski.
The bus spun around to face northbound, Maslowski said.
The intersection of Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue will be closed for an extended period of time while police investigate.
