Gun shots fired prompts large police presence in Brampton

Peel Regional Police responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Maritime Ontario Blvd and Queen St E in Brampton at around 5:23 p.m. today (August 1).
Upon arrival and further investigation, officers discovered evidence of shots being discharged.
Police say as of now, no injuries were reported in the area.
Commuters and residents are asked to avoid the area and to expect a large police presence in the vicinity.
