Motorcyclist dead following 5-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga

One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga this morning.
OPP responded to a collision involving five vehicles shortly before 1:30 a.m. along Dixon Road’s westbound express lanes.
Police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene while paramedics reportedly treated several other people for minor injuries.
The motorcyclist’s identity, including his age and place of residence, has not been released to the public.
The area of the crash was closed for several hours and was reopened to drivers around 7:30 this morning.
The cause of the collision is still being investigated.
