Motorcycle club member charged after guns seized from a Brampton home

A motorcycle club member faces charges after police seized guns from a Brampton home.
A member of the One Order Motorcycle Club was arrested on Jan. 11 after the search, the OPP said in a press release.
Police seized a prohibited shotgun, a non-restricted rifle, two imitation handguns, the components to make seven restricted handguns (seven receivers, 17 slides and components to make triggers), a vest containing ballistic panels, four One Order Motorcycle Club vests, one containing ballistic panels, and two cell phones.
Sherwin Anthony “AJ” Jhingoree, 39, Brampton, faces several charges including three counts of breach of a release order, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, manufacture a prohibited firearm, and possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition.
Jhingoree was held in custody and will appear before an Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Jan. 17.
The search warrant was executed by the OPP-led Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU) with support from the OPP-led Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, the OPP Cambridge Detachment, the OPP Perth County Detachment, the Stratford Police Service and the Peel Regional Police.
The BEU is a joint-forces unit led by the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and works collaboratively with other police services and law enforcement agencies to disrupt and dismantle organized crime groups.
