Brampton’s most popular fine dining restaurant is shutting its doors for good.
Aria Bistro & Lounge announced in a social media post on Monday that it would be closing down permanently.
For nearly a decade, the restaurant offered guests a culinary experience with gourmet entrees, freshly baked in-house bread, soups, salads and desserts.
Owner Michael Cherry said he was proud to have shared so many memories with Brampton
“When we first opened our doors, my goal was to create a place where people could enjoy exceptional food and wine with colleagues, friends and family,” Cherry said on Facebook.
“I am proud to have had the opportunity to realize this goal and to have shared in so many of your special memories.”
Located in the historic house of Walter E. Calvert at 485 Main St. N in downtown Brampton, Aria featured six private dining rooms, and could accommodate up to 80 guests for fine dining, weddings, corporate and family functions.
The home was built in 1927, and prior to Aria opening in 2013, was Chez Marie & Bassano’s Restaurant.
Along with elegant dishes, Aria also featured over 200 wines in its cellar as part of its commitment to offering you “the finest experience in hospitality and dining.”
“Together with the Aria team, I want to sincerely thank you for our loyalty and patronage,” Cherry said. “We will forever cherish the memories we have shared, and the wonderful friendships we have made.”
