More options are coming to help move residents between Brampton and Caledon as Brampton Transit is making some service changes for the start of the year.

Starting on Jan. 8, the Town of Caledon and the City of Brampton will be adding mid-day service and early evening trips to the 81 Mayfield West route, with service extended until 8:30 p.m.

The route is operated by Brampton Transit and runs from the Sandalwood transit loop in Brampton to Kennedy Road North and Dougall Avenue in Caledon.

Caledon says the additional trips will provide more transit options for seniors, students, families and employees travelling outside of peak hours.

Brampton and Caledon also teamed up for a new transit route on Dixie Road in September to give the hundreds of workers who travel back and forth for work more transit options.

The City of Brampton will also be rolling out updates to several other routes across the city on Monday, including changes to over a dozen routes, more trips, adjusted schedules and more connections to GO stations. For more information visit www.Brampton.ca.
