More than $70,000 in drugs and cash seized, Brampton man and two others charged

Three people including a man from Brampton have been charged after police say more than $70,000 worth of cocaine, opioids and cash were found in a drug bust.

The arrests happened around 10:30 a.m. when the OPP says officers from the James Bay detachment were serving a search warrant on Sixth Street in Cochrane, approximately 108 kilometres north of Timmins.

A police canine unit and the OPP emergency response team assisted in the raid and police say they covered undisclosed amounts of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, as well as Canadian currency worth an estimated $72,500.

Three people were arrested including a 31-year-old from Brampton.

Kadeem Clarke, 31, of Brampton, Randy Wesley, 44, and Victoria Wesley, 42, both of Cochrane have all been charged with trafficking offences and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

The accused are still in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Cochrane on Thursday.
