A MiWay transit bus driver has been charged with careless driving in a three-vehicle collision in north Mississauga that sent three people to hospital on Thursday afternoon.

Peel Regional Police told insauga.com in an email that one driver of a car and two passengers were taken to hospital as a precaution after the bus collided with two other vehicles at about 3:15 p.m. on Creditview Rd., a few blocks north of Bristol Rd. W.

The collision took place near the intersection of Creditview Rd. and Pickwick Dr., according to reports from the scene.

Police say the road has since been cleared and reopened to traffic.

Mississauga firefighters and paramedics were quickly on the scene and three people were transported to hospital shortly after.

Police say the MiWay driver has been charged with careless driving.

It’s the second time in less than two months a MiWay bus has been involved in a collision in Mississauga.

Police are still investigating a June 8 crash in Malton involving a MiWay bus in which one woman was killed and eight other people were sent to hospital.
