Mississauga’s Bianca Andreescu advances to second round at Bad Homburg Open

Mississauga’s Bianca Andreescu is moving on to the second round after defeating her first opponent today (June 21) in the Bad Homburg Open tennis tournament in Germany.
Andreescu faced off against professional Italian tennis player and 7th seed Martina Trevisan, finishing with a victorious 6-3, 6-1 score.
She’ll go on to face British player Katie Swan in the next round tomorrow, June 22.

The tournament, which kicked off Sunday, June 19 and will run until this Saturday, is held on outdoor grass courts at the Bad Homburg Tennis Club in Bad Homburg, Germany.
Andreescu’s most recent experience with grass courts was at the 2022 German Open last week, in which she defeated her first round opponent but was eliminated in the second round.
We’ll see just how far Andreescu goes this time!
