Grab your flip phones and put on low-rise jeans — an upcoming Mississauga celebrates the early 2000s.
The Y2K Fest is a celebration of early 2000s music nostalgia featuring Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter Suzie McNeil as the headliner.
The event is on Friday, Sept. 9 at the Outdoor Amphitheatre at Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive, in Mississauga.
The festival also has “a totally rad lineup of local artists,” according to the event website. Other performers include Neena Rose and Julianna Jones.
Mauve, a local Mississauga singer and songwriter, performs and is the organizer. The City of Mississauga and Canada’s Music Incubator chose Mauve to organize a concert featuring local talent for the “Love Local Music” program.
