Mississauga woman dead after rollover crash east of Brampton

A Mississauga woman is dead and a man from Caledon is in hospital after a rollover crash on Highway 427.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (May 1), the OPP Highway Safety Division says there was a single-vehicle crash on the southbound Highway 427 offramp onto eastbound Highway 407, just east of Brampton.
Police say the driver collided with a concrete wall on the left side of the ramp and the vehicle tumbled down an embankment.
A 27-year-old female passenger from Mississauga was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the 22-year-old male driver from Caledon was transported to hospital for surgery with serious injuries.
Police said the offramp has an advisory speed of 30 km/h, and Sgt. Kerry Schmidt with the OPP Highway Safety Division said collisions reconstruction teams and investigators are looknig into what led to the crash.
The ramp was clsod until around 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
