Foodies, animal and earth lovers, those who are health-conscious and others are invited to attend Mississauga’s 1st Vegan Holiday Event taking place this Saturday in southeast Mississauga.

The Holiday Market, as it’s termed, runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the historic Small Arms Inspection Building, at 1352 Lakeshore Rd. E.

Admission is free and organizers of the Mississauga Vegfest event invite people to join them for a “cruelty-free, compassionate holiday shopping experience.”

Boasting more than 30 local plant-based vegan businesses who will have a variety of treats, eats and gifts available, the event promises to have something for most everyone, organizers say.

The indoor event follows all Covid-19 safety guidelines and proof of vaccination is required to enter.

Parking is free, but limited.

Organizers say while they’ve staged previous Mississauga Vegfest events in 2018 and 2019, in which more than 200 vendors participated each time, this is their first try at a holiday vegan festival event.

“All are welcome to explore the life of animal-free alternatives to benefit humans, animals and the environment,” organizers say.
