Several stations along the Mississauga Transitway are reopening for commuters.

Tomorrow (Nov. 1), Renforth Station and the stations east of Dixie — Tahoe, Tahoe, Etobicoke Creek, Spectrum, and Orbitor  — will reopen following a month of construction work in the area.

During this period, several MiWay routes were redirected but as of 6 a.m. tomorrow, routes 7, 39, 43, 74, 107 and 109 will return to regular service, with buses available from the platform level.

Specific information about the service at each of these stations can be found here.

Meanwhile, in other MiWat news, Route 51 Tomken has now been extended north along Tomken Road to service Bramalea GO Station at Platform 12 (stop #6029).

This route will operate on weekdays and Saturdays. On weekdays, the route will have a peak service frequency of 14 minutes in the morning and 27 minutes in the midday. On Saturdays, the route will have a service frequency of 50 minutes.

This extended routing will offer customers another option for travelling to Brampton to access Brampton Transit and GO Transit services. It will also provide more access to employment areas along Tomken Road while reducing transfers for customers.

Also, due to high customer demand during the midday and evening on the Route 61 Mavis on Sundays, service will now operate every 15 minutes in the midday and every 23 minutes in the late evening after 10 pm (from every 18 minutes and every 43 minutes respectively).
