A new farmers market opens in Mississauga today (June 9) offering fresh fruit and vegetables throughout most of the summer months.
The Erin Mills Farmers Market will operate from 3 to 7 p.m. every Thursday until July 14 and then again from September 8 to 29.
The market will offer locally grown goods that includes items raised from a community garden as well as from small food businesses.
Items include non-certified organic and non-organic produce, as well as gluten, dairy and peanut-free foods.
The market is located on the southwest corner of Eglinton Ave. W. and Erin Mills Pkwy. at the base of the Daniels Arc building. Parking is available in the underground of the condominium with entrance to the parking garage off of Erin Mills Pkwy. Bring the receipt portion of your parking stub to the market manager for reimbursement of up to one hour of shopping.
