Mississauga resident wins Princess Margaret Lottery grand prize

A Mississauga man is a grand prize winner of the Princess Margaret Lottery.

Denzil Faire is now the owner of the $2.1 million Muskoka grand prize which includes a $2 million lakefront cottage plus $100,000 in cash.

The winning number is 10004918.

Two other grand prizes have also been awarded, lakefront cottages in Haliburton and Kawartha.

The lottery is held each year to raise funds for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is a scientific research centre and a teaching hospital in Toronto. It is affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine as part of the University Health Network.

The hospital now stands as the largest cancer centre in Canada and one of the five largest cancer centres in the world.

The Princess Margaret lottery helps support cancer research at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and around the world.
