Mississauga power outage affects over 500 homes, businesses

More than 500 homes and businesses in an area around Lake Aquitaine Park in Mississauga have been affected by a power outage.

Alectra Utilities said that the outage early on Wednesday evening (Aug. 11) was in the in the area of Battleford Road and Montevideo Road. A total of 522 customers are affected and the expected time of resumption is 9 p.m.

UPDATE: As of 8:05 p.m., Alectra says that 136 customers are affected, but the expected time of resumption is now 10:30 p.m.

UPDATE: All power was restored at 9:09 p.m., Alectra said. That was just nine minutes later than the initial estimate.
