One south Mississauga postal code reports higher than average COVID-19 positivity

One area in Mississauga is among those with the highest COVID-19 percent positivity rates (percentage of positive COVID-19 tests in the area) in Ontario, according to recent data from Toronto-based research group ICES.
ICES listed postal code areas in Ontario with the highest percent positivity rates for the week of Nov. 7 to 13.
Of the top 50 listed, one is in Mississauga: Postal code L5H at 5.74% positivity.
L5H has the 39th highest positivity in Ontario.
For all Ontario residents, the overall percent positivity among those tested for COVID-19 during the week of Nov. 7 was 2.3%, up 0.4% from the previous week, according to ICES’s data.
Additionally, Peel Region’s interactive COVID-19 map shows which areas in the city are reporting higher rates than others.
For the week of Nov. 7 to 13, the Region reports 105 new cases in Mississauga and 214 new cases in Peel overall.
